American Journal of Sociology - is a peer-reviewed bi-monthly academic journal that publishes original research and book reviews in the field of sociology and related social sciences.

Families in Society: The Journal of Contemporary Social Servicesthe first journal of social work research, is one of the most enduring and highly regarded scholarly publications on family- and community-centered social work. Published continuously since 1920, the journal has a longstanding focus on person-centered, asset-based approaches to practice and policy.

Journal of Family Theory and Review - a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the National Council on Family Relations. The journal draws from a broad range of the social sciences, including family studies, sociology, developmental psychology, social psychology, communications, gerontology, gender studies, and health.. Families are viewed broadly and inclusively to include individuals of varying ages and genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, and nationalities.

Social Research: An International Quarterlya quarterly academic journal of the social sciences, published by The New School for Social Research, the graduate social science division of The New School. The journal has been published continuously since 1934.
